5/21/01 5/15/01 11/19/00 11/01/00 10/02/00 This summer went by quickly; Erik took a trip to Scotland so we missed out on the
Maine Forrest Rally, although he did get to see the Colin McRae Rally in Scotland
(and spectated the "Twiglees" stage; you Rally Championship fans know what I'm
talking about).
Additionally, the Bradford Rally was cancelled, so our car spent a lot of time
resting. This past weekend we took it out to a local autocross with the Philadelphia
Region SCCA to have some fun. This time Eddie was quicker, finishing 2nd in EMod,
while Erik was 4th (out of 4 competitors). With some old street tires on the car, we
were not very competitive, but we had a lot of fun and got some rare seat time at
speed. The results are
here. Eddie also discovered that hood pins are not just for show... Oh well, it
wouldn't be a real event if we didn't come home with some damage to the car... 05/18/00 04/19/00 04/17/00 04/11/00 04/06/00 03/20/00

We are proud to say that we successfully completed both coefficient 2 club rallies at the Sand Hills Sandblast in Cheraw, SC. Erik drove the first event and Eddie co-drove while Eddie drove and Erik co-drove for the second event. The rally was truly awesome and we'll have an interesting report up soon. For now we made a quick page to show some pictures, click here. Thanks again to Flying J Diesel for coming out!
Sorry for the lack of updates! We haven't been able to log into our site since December and we finally got around to getting that fixed. Anyway, yesterday Ralf welded our skidplate together for us, so we should be ready to go once we get it mounted! Sandblast is this weekend so we're really excited! Stay tuned for the full story once we return. Thanks to Ralf for welding our skidplate and to Justin Spivey, our official crew cheif for this weekend!
Yesterday we ran PBX and it was a BLAST!
It was the perfect opportunity to practice navigating and driving at night at almost near rally speeds (thats up to
debate, lets just say they don't call it brisk for nothing). I can't stop talking about how
awesome it was. Erik is in the process of writing something up so stay tuned.
The next event on the schedule for us is
the Pine Barrens Express "brisk" TSD rally
in southern NJ. This will be a good chance for us to test out the car on dirt roads at
night, as well as to work on our driver - co-driver communication skills. We (meaning me,
Erik) mounted the rally lights along with some old fog lights we're using as cornering
lights. Over 500 Watts of lighting, and you can turn everything on without blowing any
fuses!
Okay, it's been a while since we had
any updates. Sorry... The car is running well. We volunteered to work at the
Irish Hills rally in June and gained valuable behind the scenes experience. Hopefully
if they do this rally again, we will run it. We competed in the rallycross after the
event, and Erik finished 3rd in class while Eddie was 5th (out of 8 finishers and 12
starters)! Plus, the car made it home under it's own power. You can see the results
from the rallycross
here.
The car is running well, the latest
efforts have been installing a cat in order to pass emissions. Some other small
problems have surfaced, such as a small fuel leak. In the meantime we have added
a team bio page.
After fiddling with timing and adjusting the fuel pressure
we are more than pleased to announce that our car is running again!
We'll keep posting as improvements are made. Yahoo!
The new engine is in the car. We took the old one out and put the
new one in this weekend. We still have to fiddle with the timing to get it running, but it should be ready soon.
Details will be posted once we get the pictures developed.
Our engine arrived today! Thanks to Brad and John for helping us
carry it, and especially Craig for hauling it to Eddie's lawn in his pickup truck.
A new engine is on its way. We have obtained a (relatively) low mileage VW engine
which we will drop in the upcoming weeks. Erik should be posting the break down details soon.
We regret to inform our fans that on the way home from a recent
event, our engine blew. Stay tuned for details.
